Time clock

GPS time clock app that puts every hour on the right job

The time clock in JobTracker is a GPS employee time clock app built for trades crews. People clock in to a job or to shop time from their phone, a wall tablet, or automatically when they reach a geofenced site. Hours land on the right job with live labor cost, overtime follows your rules, and totals come out payroll ready for Gusto or Wave.

Every screen in English and Spanish · Works on phone, tablet and desktop · Plans start at $495 a month

The problem

Sound familiar?

Why do your timesheets never match the jobs?

Paper timesheets come back on Friday with rounded numbers. Someone forgot to punch in on Tuesday, someone else put the whole day on one job when he worked three, and the shop guys write their hours from memory. You fix it by hand, text people to ask, and guess the rest.

Then the guessing spreads. Labor is your biggest cost, and you can't see it until payroll is already due. Overtime shows up as a surprise. Job profit looks better or worse than it really was, because the hours were never tied to the job. You end up being the time clock, and you hate it.

Where it costs you today:

a full week of labor charged to the wrong job

missed punches rebuilt from memory and text messages every Friday

overtime nobody saw coming until the payroll total landed

What it does

Run the field

What does the JobTracker time clock do?

Clock in to jobs, not days

Each person clocks in to a job or to general time like shop, training or meetings, with labor categories. They switch jobs without clocking out, so every hour lands where it was worked.

Automatic clock-in at the site

Draw a geofence around each job site and crew members are clocked in when they arrive. No forgotten punches, and the start time is the time they actually pulled in.

A time clock on the shop wall

Turn a wall-mounted tablet or iPad into the company time clock, in portrait or landscape. Each person taps their name, enters their Employee PIN and picks a job or general time.

Overtime and time off, your rules

Daily hours and overtime reporting follow your own overtime rules and workweek. Employees request time off, managers approve or decline, and approved time off blocks the schedule.

Hours that come out payroll ready

JobTracker prepares hours for payroll with a Gusto integration, a payroll-ready export and an hours report for Wave Payroll. Each person checks their own hours and pay in My Pay.

Remote staff and the crew map

Office and remote staff use the Windows or Mac app, with check-ins, screen captures while clocked in and idle auto clock-out. In the field, people appear on the map only while clocked in and opted in.

With JobTracker

What changes

What changes when every hour is tied to a job?

The crew pulls onto the job site at 7:05 and their phones clock them in. Nobody has to remember, and nobody calls the office to ask which job to pick.

Mid-morning you open Clocked in now and see who is working where, the hours so far and the projected labor cost for the day, without a single phone call.

A tech forgot to clock out yesterday. He requests a correction from his phone, a manager approves it, and the fix keeps its approval trail.

On payroll day the hours are already sorted by person and job, overtime is reported by your own rules, and the hours go to Gusto or Wave.

If nothing changes

Every week the hours stay on paper, labor gets charged to the wrong jobs and you price the next job from bad numbers. That cost never arrives as a bill. It shows up as margin you thought you had.

FAQ

Straight answers

Questions about time clock.

Does the GPS track my employees all the time?

No. A person's location is shown only while they're clocked in and have opted in. People's location history stays admin-only, so a crew member's evenings and weekends are their own.

What if someone doesn't have a smartphone?

They can clock in at the shop. The Time Clock Screen turns a wall tablet or iPad into the company time clock, and each person signs in with their own Employee PIN and picks a job or general time.

Does JobTracker run payroll?

No. JobTracker prepares payroll and hands it off. It connects to Gusto, gives you a payroll-ready export, and builds an hours report and a yearly 1099 contractor list for Wave Payroll. Your payroll provider still pays your people.

Can a crew member work two jobs in one day?

Yes. They switch jobs without clocking out, and each block of time posts to the job it belongs to. Overlapping entries are blocked, so the same hour can't be counted twice.

What if a clock-in doesn't save?

It retries. Clock entries retry and verify with the server, and a banner warns the person if one fails. Time is never silently lost, and a missed punch can be fixed through a time correction with approval.

How much does it cost?

Plans start at $495 a month, with a discount when you pay yearly. The time clock is part of JobTracker, so the hours connect to scheduling, job costing and payroll prep instead of living in a separate app.
