Fleet management
Fleet management in JobTracker is a live map and logbook for the trucks a small trades business runs. Track each vehicle by phone app, hardware GPS tracker or manual pin, replay any truck's route, keep mileage logs for taxes, and get maintenance alerts by miles or days. It lives in the same app that runs your jobs, crews and schedule.
Every screen in English and Spanish · Works on phone, tablet and desktop · Plans start at $495 a month
The problem
Sound familiar?
Most owners don't, not without calling around. A truck comes back Monday with miles nobody can explain. The oil change was due weeks ago, but the sticker on the windshield faded and nobody wrote it down. A customer says the crew never showed up, and you have no way to check who was where.
Trucks are some of the most expensive things you own, and they're the least watched. Every breakdown costs a day of work on top of the repair. Every mileage log rebuilt at tax time is a guess. You end up running the fleet from memory and a glove box full of receipts.
Where it costs you today:
missed oil changes that turn into a breakdown on a job day
personal trips and after-hours use nobody notices until the fuel bill
mileage logs rebuilt from guesses the week your taxes are due
What it does
Run the field
See vehicles on a live map through the phone app, a hardware GPS tracker or a manual pin. Pick what fits each truck and your budget, and see the whole fleet at a glance.
Replay where a vehicle went on any day. When a customer says nobody came or a trip doesn't add up, you settle the question of where the truck was in seconds.
Set maintenance by miles or days for each vehicle, with mileage pulled from the live tracker and due alerts. The service log records repairs, parts, vendors and invoices, then sets the next reminder.
Trips and miles come from the tracker and print or export as logs. Your mileage records are ready for taxes and reimbursements without a notebook riding in the cab.
Usage alerts flag after-hours use, daily mileage limits and a vehicle leaving the site. You know when a truck is being misused before the repair bill or fuel card tells you.
Print a QR label for each vehicle. Scanning it lets a driver log a trip, fill out a pre-use checklist with the odometer reading, record service or report a problem to the maintenance manager.
With JobTracker
What changes
Before the crews roll out, each driver scans the QR label in the truck, runs the pre-use checklist and logs the odometer reading before leaving the yard.
A customer calls asking when the crew will get there. You open the live map, see the truck a few streets away, and answer while they're still on the phone.
An alert says the box truck is due for service by miles. You book it for a slow afternoon instead of losing it to a breakdown on a busy morning.
At year end you pull the usage report with miles, hours and service costs per vehicle, and you know which truck to replace next and which one to keep.
If nothing changes
Without a record, every breakdown, unexplained mile and missed mileage deduction looks like the cost of doing business. It isn't. It's money you could see and stop once every truck is on the map and has its own logbook.

FAQ
Straight answers
Does this track my employees when they're off the clock?
No. People show on the map only while they're clocked in and have opted in. Trucks with a tracker show on the map, but people's location history stays admin-only, so the crew isn't followed home.
Do I have to buy GPS hardware for every truck?
No. Each vehicle can be tracked by the phone app, a hardware GPS tracker or a manual pin. You can start with what you have and add trackers to the trucks where it matters most.
Can I export mileage for my accountant?
Yes. Mileage and hour logs print or export, built from the tracker's trips and miles. They're ready for taxes and reimbursements, and the year-end report adds service costs for each vehicle.
Is this a standalone fleet tracking app?
No. Fleet management is part of JobTracker, so trucks, crews and jobs live in one system. The same map shows clocked-in crew, and the same app runs your schedule, time clock and job costing.
Can I track trailers and equipment too?
Yes. The asset register covers vehicles and equipment, each with its own asset type, maintenance schedule, QR label and service history. Equipment can run on hour meters instead of miles, so trailers, mowers and generators each keep their own logbook.
What does it cost?
Plans start at $495 a month, with a discount when you pay yearly. A demo is the quickest way to see the fleet tools against your own trucks and pick the plan that fits how many you run.
