Task and punch lists

Punch list software that closes out jobs without the forgotten items

Task and punch list management in JobTracker turns every walkthrough item, checklist and quality check into a task with an owner, a due date and proof. It's built for remodelers and trades crews who close out jobs from a phone, in English or Spanish. Failed quality checks create their own fix-it tasks, and a phase can't be marked done until its required photos are in.

Every screen in English and Spanish · Works on phone, tablet and desktop · Plans start at $495 a month

The problem

Sound familiar?

Why does the end of every job drag on for weeks?

The punch list lives on a legal pad, a few texts and a photo the homeowner sent at 9 p.m. Some items get fixed but never marked done. Others never get assigned at all. The crew has moved to the next job, and the final walkthrough turns up the same loose outlet cover twice.

Meanwhile the last payment waits, and the customer who loved you in week one is losing patience in week six. You end up driving out yourself to check a list only you can read. A good job deserves a clean finish, and right now the finish depends on your memory.

Where it costs you today:

return trips for punch items nobody wrote down

final payments held while the last few items drag on

quality checks skipped because nobody asked for a photo

What it does

Run the work

What does task and punch list management in JobTracker do?

Every item has an owner

Tasks carry multiple assignees, comments, due dates and times, and timers, and assignment emails tell people what they've been given. A task can wait for another one to finish, so work happens in the right order.

Build the punch list your way

Create a task type with your own required fields: a dropdown for the room, a file upload for the photo, a dollar amount when it matters. Save it as a template for next time.

Checklists that load themselves

Workflow templates by job type give every new job its task lists, required documents and QC checkpoints automatically. Quality stops depending on who remembers what.

A failed check writes the fix

QC checkpoints are pass or fail, with a photo required. When one fails, JobTracker creates the fix-it task automatically, so a problem can't just be noted and forgotten.

No photos, no done

Each phase lists the photos the crew must take, with prompts at clock-in and clock-out. The phase can't be marked done until they're in, unless a PM overrides with a reason.

The scope on a sticker

Print a QR code for each phase and post it on site. Anyone who scans it sees that phase's scope of work, with no login and no prices or customer details.

With JobTracker

What changes

What does closeout look like when every item is tracked?

At the walkthrough, the PM adds each item from a phone with the room picked and a photo attached, assigned to the tech who'll fix it.

The tech gets an email with an Open task button and sees the item on My Day the next morning, next to the day's visits.

The trim QC check fails. A fix-it task appears on its own, and it stays open until someone actually fixes the trim.

By the end of the week every item shows done, with photos, in the job's timeline. You never had to drive out to check.

If nothing changes

Every open punch item is a return trip, a delayed final payment or a customer telling a neighbor the job dragged on. The cost isn't the fix itself, it's the weeks of loose ends around it.

FAQ

Straight answers

Questions about task and punch lists.

Can I set up punch lists the way we already do them?

Yes. Task types take your own custom fields, including text, dropdowns, dollar amounts, links, file uploads and required fields. Once a list works for you, save it as a template and reuse it on the next job.

How do crews know they've been given a task?

They get an assignment email with the full details and buttons to open the task or the job. The task also shows on their My Day screen alongside today's visits and checklists, so nothing depends on someone reading a group text.

What if a crew skips the required photos?

The phase can't be marked done. The app prompts for the photos at clock-in and clock-out, and only a PM can override it, with the reason recorded. That photo record protects you in disputes and warranty claims.

Do tasks sync with GoHighLevel?

Yes. Tasks are synced with GoHighLevel, so your sales team and your operations team work from the same task list instead of keeping two lists that never match.

Is there a daily log for each job?

Yes. Daily logs capture weather, crew, work done and problems, and they sit in one job timeline with milestones, logged calls and site visits. It's the full story of the job if a dispute ever comes up.

How much does it cost?

Plans start at $495 a month, with a discount when you pay yearly. Bring a punch list from a recent job to the demo and we'll build it as tasks with you.
