AI assistant
The AI Assistant in JobTracker is AI for contractors built into the system that runs your jobs. Each person can talk or type to it to look up jobs, schedules and crew locations, add tasks, book visits and text customers, within their own access. It reads back every action and waits for your yes. You can also connect Claude, ChatGPT or n8n.
Every screen in English and Spanish · Works on phone, tablet and desktop · Plans start at $495 a month
The problem
Sound familiar?
Where's the crew right now? Is the inspection on Thursday? Did anyone text the customer about the delay? Every answer lives on a different screen, and every question lands on your phone. The AI app on your phone can't help, because it doesn't know your jobs, your schedule or your customers. So you answer it yourself, again.
So you stay the switchboard. You make the same lookups all day, and the one time you hand a task to an app, you worry it'll send something wrong to a customer. You don't want a robot running your business. You want help you can trust to ask first.
Where it costs you today:
the owner answering schedule questions all day from the truck
tasks promised on a phone call that never get written down
customer texts that wait until someone gets back to a desk
What it does
Lead the company
Each person gets their own assistant with its own name and voice. It works with that person's permissions and nothing more, so it can't show anyone what they're not allowed to see.
Ask about jobs, schedules, tasks, customers and subcontractors. It reads your calendars and tells you where the crew and trucks are right now. No digging through screens to find the answer.
It adds and assigns tasks, books visits, texts customers, requests subcontractor quotes and changes settings. It reads each action back, waits for your yes, and logs everything. You stay in charge of every step.
Use the AI you already pay for. Claude and ChatGPT sign in with a JobTracker account, and an owner or admin approves which business they see. Tools like n8n use one API key per business.
A connected AI reads jobs, schedules, visits, tasks and customers within its account's permissions. If you allow it, it can book, move or cancel visits, manage tasks and add job notes, each one logged.
When a connected AI drafts a customer text or email, the owner, admins and the job's PM are alerted. A person approves it before it goes out, and at night it can be held until 8 AM.
With JobTracker
What changes
Driving between jobs, you ask where the crew is and what's on tomorrow's schedule, and you hear the answer.
You tell it to add a task for your lead tech and book Friday's visit. It reads both back, and you say yes.
From the AI app on your phone, you ask what's on the schedule next week, and it answers from your real jobs, not a guess.
A drafted customer text comes in after hours, and you choose to hold it until 8 AM instead of sending it now.
If nothing changes
Every lookup you handle yourself is time you're not selling or building. Doing nothing keeps you as the switchboard, and handing work to an AI that doesn't ask first is a risk you shouldn't take.

FAQ
Straight answers
Will the AI ever text my customers on its own?
No. The AI Assistant reads back every action and waits for your yes. Through the AI connection, any customer text or email is drafted first, and a person on your team approves it before it goes out.
Can the assistant see things the person can't?
No. Each assistant works with that person's own permissions and nothing more. A connected AI tool is limited the same way, to the permissions of the account that connected it. A tech's assistant can't open the numbers a tech can't see.
Do I have to talk to it, or can I type?
Both. Each person can talk to their assistant or type to it, and each assistant has its own name and voice. That makes it hands-free help when you're driving between jobs. Type when you're in a meeting or on a quiet job site.
Which AI tools can connect to JobTracker?
Claude, ChatGPT and automation tools like n8n. Claude and ChatGPT sign in with a JobTracker account, and an owner or admin approves which business they can see. Other tools use one API key per business.
Can it trigger my own automations?
Yes. Webhooks notify your own automations the moment a visit changes, a job changes stage or a customer approves something. There's a public setup guide, privacy policy and terms for the connection.
Is every AI action tracked?
Yes. Every action the assistant takes is logged, and every change made through the AI connection is logged as coming from that connection, so you always know who or what made it. Nothing happens in the dark.
